- Earning the ISO 9001 certification in 1998 was an enormous step in the right direction for quality efforts. The result is a higher standard as the management and staff at SPC must now prove themselves to both the customer and external auditors.

- Continuous Improvement is an important part of SPC's quality system. Through increased training, corrective and preventive actions, and internal audits of their processes, Sumter Packaging is increasing awareness and remaining focused on quality.

- The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce named Sumter Packaging Corporation as Manufacturer of the Year in 2001.
